Tell City, Indiana\n\nLarry J. Leimgruber, Sr.,72, passed away on November 5, 2014 at his home. \n\nHe was born in Tell City, April 30, 1942, son of the late John and Wanda (Harpe) Leimgruber. Also preceding him in death was his wife Iris (Schaad) Leimgruber; sisters, Helen Carter and Carolyn Risse and a brother, George Leimgruber. \n\nA U.S. Navy veteran, Larry retired as a maintenance supervisor at Branchville Correctional Facility. He was a member of Gold Prospecting Association of American, enjoyed traveling, attending his grandchildren's sporting events and walking along the river. \n\nHe is survived by his sons; Larry J. Leimgruber, Jr., Tell City and John W. Leimgruber III, Charlottesville, Virginia; daughter, Sherri Leimgruber, Hawesville' sisters, Sharon Blake and Linda Carter; brother, John W. "Sonny" Leimgruber, Jr.; four grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Ashleigh Rae Leimgruber, Levi Nash and Saundra Kvant and one great grandchild, Gracelynn Jones. \n\nFuneral services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Huber Funeral Home, Tell City Chapel, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 6:00 PM on Sunday and from 9:00 until 11:00 AM on Monday.\n\nMemorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
