Diana M. Parish, 85, of Oaktown, IN passed away March 22, 2023. She was born in Beale, IL on February 7, 1938 to the late Delbert C. and Clara M. (Codgill) Briner. Diana graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953. She work 10 years at Brown Shoe Factory before its closing. Diana continued her career at Vincennes University in the custodial department, where she worked 28+ year before retiring. She married Russell Parish Jr. on April 1, 1967. \n\nIn her free time Diana enjoyed cooking, watching her family's sports activities, flower gardening, watching IU basketball, canning, spending time with her family, watching hummingbirds, and watching Daniel O'Donnell. She will be deeply missed by all.\n\nDiana was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws Russell Sr. and Mildred Parish; infant brother Robert F. Briner; son-in-law Fredrick "Fritz" Wegehoft; and nephew Charles "Chuck" Briner Jr.\n\nShe is survived by her husband, of 55 years, Russell Parish Jr.; children Kevin (Ruth) Parish and Dana Wegehoft; grandchildren Brittany (Jonathan) Weaver, Jena Parson-Parish, Cody (Shannon) Parish, Lacey (Ray Wallace) Ellerman, Braden Ellerman, Michelle (Travis Harper) Wegehoft; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers Charles (Judy) Briner Sr., Tom (Frances) Briner; and many nieces and nephews.\n\nGoodwin-Sievers is honored and entrusted with the care of Mrs. Parish. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 524 Broadway St. from 11am to service time. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 2pm with burial a Oaktown Cemetery.
