Billy Reece B.R. Carver 79 of Glasgow died Monday, January 31, 2011 at the NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. He was born at Austin, KY the son of the late Jack Earl and Kitty Ferguson Carver. \n\nB.R. had a great love for making friends and serving people. He was a farmer and an auto salesman for over 50 years and was the owner and operator of B. R. Carver Chevrolet-Buick in Cave City. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and had been a former Barren County Deputy Sheriff serving under Sheriff Robert O. Alexander and was a long time member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church at Austin.\n\nThe beloved husband, father and Papa is survived by his wife Ruby Walker Carver; three children, Reeca Gale Carver of Frankfort, KY, Anissa Carol Pendleton and husband Michael of Glasgow and Billy R. Carver, Jr. and wife Emily of Glasgow; 7 grandchildren Allie, Abbie, Billy Reece III Trey and Trigg Carver and Michael Pendleton Jr. MJ, Matthew and Malachi Pendleton; 1 sister Dixie Younkin and husband Jack of Glasgow; his special mother-in-law Opal Garrett and husband James of Glasgow and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother William Earl Carver.\n\nFuneral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, Feb. 4, 2011 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Burial with military honors provided by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow will be in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Wednesday and continue throughout the day Thursday and Friday until time for the service. \n\nAlternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorial contributions to the Gideons International, P.O.
